Corporate Social Responsibility Manager

Example of a Corporate Social Responsibility Manager

Introduction:

  • Company overview: Founding vision, current state of affairs, size, relevant stats.
  • Role mission: Goals, team, and resources to make it happen. 

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement CSR strategies and initiatives aligned with company values and business objectives.
  • Monitor and assess the impact of CSR programs on communities, stakeholders, and the environment.
  • Coordinate and manage corporate philanthropy, community engagement, and environmental sustainability efforts.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to drive social responsibility projects and enhance corporate reputation.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, industry standards, and ethical practices.
  • Prepare and present reports on CSR activities, performance metrics, and achievements to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Foster partnerships with non-profits, governmental organizations, and community groups to support social and environmental causes.
  • Lead initiatives to promote diversity, equity, and inclusion within the company and in its external engagements.
  • Manage CSR-related budgets and allocate resources effectively to maximize program impact.

Skills, Knowledge, and Experience:

  • Minimum 3-4 years of relevant experience in corporate social responsibility, sustainability, or a related field.
  • Relevant Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Environmental Science, Social Sciences, or a related discipline; advanced degree is a plus.
  • Proven track record of developing and managing CSR programs and initiatives that align with corporate values and goals.
  • Strong understanding of CSR principles, sustainability practices, and social impact measurement.
  • Proficient in project management software, data analysis tools, and reporting applications.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to design and implement effective CSR strategies.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with experience in engaging stakeholders and presenting CSR initiatives to diverse audiences.
  • Familiarity with relevant regulations, industry standards, and best practices in CSR and sustainability.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with social impact assessments and community engagement initiatives.
  • Understanding of corporate sustainability goals and social responsibility frameworks.
  • Skills in data analytics for CSR reporting and impact measurement.
  • Basic knowledge of relevant CSR regulations and industry standards.
  • Strong communication skills for effective reporting and stakeholder relations.
