INTRODUCTION:

  • Role mission: Goals, team, and resources to make it happen. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Create and implement comprehensive communication and public relations strategies to support client objectives and enhance their brand reputation.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with media outlets and journalists to secure coverage and manage media inquiries effectively.
  • Develop compelling content for various channels, including press releases, articles, speeches, and social media, ensuring consistency with client messaging.
  • Plan, execute, and oversee communication campaigns, tracking their effectiveness and making data-driven adjustments to optimize results.
  • Manage and mitigate communication crises by developing strategic responses and coordinating with clients to protect and enhance their public image.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and clients to ensure alignment on communication goals and strategies, and effectively engage with key stakeholders.
  • Evaluate the success of communication initiatives through metrics and feedback, providing regular reports and recommendations for continuous improvement.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum 3-4 years of experience in communications or public relations, with a proven ability to develop and manage effective PR strategies and campaigns.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field; relevant certifications in PR or communications are advantageous.
  • Deep understanding of PR principles, media relations, and communication strategies, with a focus on strategic messaging and audience engagement.
  • Proficiency in creating high-quality content across various platforms, including digital media, print, and social media.

Nice to have:

  • Familiarity with communication frameworks and methodologies, such as integrated marketing communications (IMC).
  • Strong analytical abilities to assess campaign performance and derive actionable insights for strategy refinement.
  • Experience in managing communication during high-pressure situations and effectively handling public relations crises.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively with clients and internal teams to achieve communication objectives.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and persuasively to diverse audiences.
  •  Knowledge of emerging trends and technologies in communication and public relations, and the ability to incorporate these into strategies.
  • Experience in engaging with various stakeholders, including media, influencers, and community organizations.
