We are representing a prominent energy group that is expanding its renewable energy portfolio in various regions. They are seeking a Stakeholder Relations Officer to assist in advancing solar, battery energy storage systems (BESS), and wind energy projects from the early stages of development through to the transition to the construction phase. This position will focus on engaging with local stakeholders and facilitating project development across multiple areas.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead stakeholder engagement efforts to support the development of solar, BESS, and wind energy projects.
  • Collaborate closely with joint venture partners to ensure effective communication and alignment on project goals.
  • Engage with local stakeholders, including government representatives, educational institutions, business organizations, and suppliers.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with key stakeholders in the community.
  • Oversee the smooth progression of project development, including site identification and negotiations with local authorities.
    Assist in the creation and implementation of community engagement plans to support competitive project bids.
    Collaboration
  • Work with external entities such as universities, government bodies, and industry associations.
  • Uphold high standards for health, safety, and environmental practices by adapting global best practices to local contexts.
  • Support the bidding process by drafting and reviewing bid proposals and documents for submission to relevant authorities.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Strong skills in stakeholder engagement and relationship management, with the ability to establish trust and cooperation.
  • At least 5 years of experience in business development or stakeholder relations within the energy sector.
  • In-depth knowledge of energy markets, renewable technologies, and applicable regulations at both the national and regional levels.
  • Ability to analyze complex development issues and communicate them effectively.
  • Extensive networking and relationship-building capabilities.
  • Fluency in the local language, with English proficiency being advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Willingness to travel both within the region and occasionally internationally.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
