They are currently seeking a Wind Turbine Technician to join their team focused on wind power services in Scotland. In this role, you'll work closely with your team to maintain and repair the wind turbine platforms we support, contribute to a strong safety culture, and collaborate with engineering specialists to optimize wind farm performance.

You will report to the Operations Project Manager and will be responsible for performing maintenance on wind turbines, specifically following the guidelines provided by the manufacturer. Familiarity with different wind turbine technologies is an advantage.

Key Responsibilities

Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and servicing, ensuring all documentation is completed accurately.
Execute corrective maintenance, including fault finding, troubleshooting, and repairs on various turbine systems, such as mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic components, with thorough documentation.
Carry out proactive repairs or replace components to avoid system failures, aiming to maximize turbine availability.
Provide emergency response for turbine breakdowns outside regular hours, including weekends.
Adhere to all health and safety regulations.
Collaborate with the Technical Manager to develop solutions.

Job Requirements

Experience as a Service Engineer with specific knowledge of the Gamesa G8X series turbines.
Proficient in troubleshooting and fault-finding.
Competent in using computer applications, including word processing, spreadsheets, email, and diagnostic tools.
Willingness to work overtime, including weekends and holidays, with short notice.
Participation in an on-call schedule.
Valid UK driver’s license and a clean driving record.
Must be in good physical condition, as medical assessments will be required.
