A prominent global consultancy specializing in ESG, life safety, and corporate security management is seeking a skilled ESG professional to join one of their London-based clients in the corporate property management sector. 

This role is a unique opportunity to take a leadership position and play a key role in shaping the client's sustainability strategy.

Role Overview

Located in central London, this role involves being fully integrated into the client’s business, leading the development and execution of their ESG strategy in a multi-stakeholder environment. The successful candidate will work closely with senior leadership to drive sustainability initiatives across the client’s UK property portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and prioritize the most critical ESG themes and objectives for the UK portfolio, ensuring alignment with market trends and maintaining the competitive edge of assets.
  • Develop and implement action plans for assets through cost-benefit analysis to inform risk assessments, budgeting, and key performance indicators.
  • Provide strategic input into asset-level business plans focused on ESG enhancements, including supporting ROI analysis.
  • Draft and refine corporate ESG policies.
  • Collaborate with external agencies to build business cases for achieving relevant ESG accreditations and implementation strategies.
  • Work with internal and external stakeholders to ensure that the Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and Capital Expenditure (CapEx) plans align with ESG policies and achieve cost-effective accreditation.
  • Support property management and facilities management teams in gathering and sharing necessary building data with third-party stakeholders.
  • Ensure that new development projects align with or improve asset value concerning ESG criteria.
  • Contribute to the preparation of annual budgets for managed assets, with a focus on sustainability and ESG considerations.
  • Participate in the due diligence process for acquisitions and sales as needed.
  • Review and recommend improvements to current data collection processes and systems, backed by detailed business cases.
  • Assist the Asset Management Team in preparing quarterly and annual reports on asset performance, emphasizing ESG outcomes.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant ESG regulations and standards.

Required Skills and Experience

The ideal candidate will bring the following:

  • Extensive knowledge of the corporate property market and the ESG challenges within it.
  • Proven experience in delivering ESG strategies across complex, high-profile assets or portfolios within the property sector.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, including development management, property management, and facilities management.
  • Influence on broader business activities, including risk management, placemaking, and corporate social responsibility.
  • Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and report writing skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities, with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Highly motivated, client-focused, and able to build strong relationships with clients, colleagues, and associates.
  • Compensation and Benefits

Salary: £70,000.00-£100,000.00 per year
