Our client is looking for a dynamic and experienced Sales Director to lead their sales team in driving adoption of our client’s product within the SME service sector. 

The company is transforming the sustainability landscape for SMEs with an innovative SaaS platform that helps their clients manage their carbon footprint with the help of technology and AI. 

This role demands a strategic thinker with a proven track record in sales management and strong relationship-building skills with key decision makers.  Responsibilities: 

  •  Lead and support a team of Business Development Managers (BDMs) to ensure their readiness and success.
  • Lead and mentor a high-performing sales team to drive sustainable growth and market penetration.
  • Manage outbound sales efforts targeting sustainability and finance teams in SMEs.
  • Collaborate closely with marketing to optimize inbound lead generation and maximize conversion rates.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, understanding their sustainability challenges.
  • Monitor, analyze, and report on sales metrics regularly to senior management.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging opportunities.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to enhance customer experience and improve offerings. 

Requirements: 

  • Minimum 10 years in sales, with 5 years in senior sales leadership roles, ideally in sustainability, SaaS, or travel management sectors.  
  • Proven ability to develop and execute successful sales strategies. Exceptional leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.  
  • Deep understanding of sustainability challenges and SME carbon accounting. Familiarity with AI-powered analytics and SaaS platforms is advantageous.
  • Proficiency with HubSpot CRM. Experience in generating reports using BI tools. 
  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Business, Marketing, Environmental Science, or related field. Advanced degree preferred. 
  • Demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets. Strong analytical skills for assessing sales performance and identifying market opportunities. 
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with senior-level decision-makers. Strong customer focus and effective problem-solving abilities.
